4 Ways to Save For Prom…But Still Get Your Dream Dress

Prom is getting closer so make sure you have the prom dress that’s perfect for you. Your dream prom dress might be more than you want to spend so here are 4 ways to cut back on other areas for prom if you can’t say no to the prom dress of your dreams.

1. Have all your friends over before prom

Instead of going from appointment to appointment getting ready for prom why not have a spa day with your closest friends? Not only is it exciting to share make up, hairstyles, and nail ideas with your friends but it will save you some money in the meantime. Have each friend be responsible for what they are best at. There are also many tutorials that you can find online.

We recommend not waiting till the last minute to have your spa day with your friends. Have a girls day before prom and create a checklist of what you need and also what look you want. It’s never a bad idea to practice what you haven’t done before to make sure your not scrambling around the day of prom going to a salon because you didn’t have the time to do what you want. It typically takes longer than you think to get ready so it’s not a bad idea to do what you can a few days before. Who doesn’t like two spa days?

2. Use self tanner

If you want to have that tan look then use self tanner. This will save you time going back and forth from the tanning salon and there is nothing worst than being burnt. Depending on the self-tanner you use it can be used many times or even be shared amongst your friends and also share the cost.

3. Don’t spend a lot on accessories

We love accessories too but don’t overspend. Necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and the list continues on. Look in advance for accessories and make sure that your accessories go well with your prom dress.

4. Buy Shoes or Heels You’ll Wear Again

When choosing shoes or heels it’s a good idea to make sure the shoes are heels fit the purpose and goes well with your prom dress. Once you know this, it will help you make your decision easier. If you plan on wearing the shoes or heels once then make the swap with another schools friend that has your similar taste. Sharing is a good way to split the price in half and save some money.
